Guest
we have been given a learning journey for a child's previous pre-school, and it looks like they only highlighted each statement if there were 3 lots of evidence in their folder for their on entry assessment. so on entry it looks like she is much lower than i'm sure she was, as she is roughly age-appropriate now, 6 months later. we all sit together a month or so after they start and go through each child, highlighting where they are, using learning journeys/long observations knowledge of child/parents input etc. i don't expect 3 lots of evidence. from then on though we don't highlight until there are 3 lots of evidence, and this informs our ongoing assessments. that way i know assessments are accurate. how do you ensure baselines are accurate?
