Do we know what causes this?

Intriguing title, however, just a boring question really - cant get the old laptop to find "new content" when I press on the button - is it signal problems my end maybe, or is it something to do with the Forum and I need to speak to The Fixer!?

I had this for about 2 months, new content sent me to the home page........ (I assumed the cat had done something to keyboard whilst sleeping on it)............. then one day hey-presto it was back again.

I still can't do quotes on the laptop though.

When I had this problem a while ago Steve suggested it may mean the cache needed to be cleared. There's a link to instructions as to how in this thread (post 26).

Worked for me. I also had problems with not being able to quote and that seemed to get sorted when I changed the browser I was using.

Hope that helps.

I have new content saved as a bookmark on my browser and that always gets there first time... although not had any issues with it.

Not had any issues with quotes but have found when adding a link it vanishes when I hit post , more than once this has happened.. assumed it was my lappy as it is old but just keeps on going..

That's what I used to do, then one day "pooff" it went. It started working agin last week though- and I hadn't knowingly changed anything... However I'm guessing the laptop may have its own updating ? ... Which I can only assume sorted the 'new content' issues.
