So.......it's half-term already (at least it is for me!).......

I'm looking forward to a productive week.........in my garden! xD

Absolutely no pre-school type work at all -have just finished today's paperwork - that's it now - will do nothing, nada, zilch until the night before I go back to work when I will (very quickly) plan for Monday!!! xDxDxD

Have a lovely week everyone :1b

I'm planning to sleep for a week (well I may do the odd bit of gardening -just to tire myself out a little)

Need to fully prepare for the next half of term! Not sure about others but for us it is a long one :o

Hoping that all the full timers have a quiet-ish week.

You have a lovely half term too, Sunnyday.

I will be taking my younger daughter and my parents up to Skipton in Yorkshire so my dad can revisit where he was born and spent his early childhood.

My daughter isn't too impressed with me now she has worked out we will be away for Hallowe'en. It's a big thing in our village, involving all the children and most of the adults so I'm in big trouble :(

However, I have redeemed myself in part by booking a pony trek for her on Monday so she can appreciate the scenery from the back of a horse :D

Half term for me too - not as organised as Sunnyday  regarding work so will be doing a bit of paperwork catch up but am trying to turn a bit of my back garden under a huge oak tree into a spring garden and have a huge sack of bulbs to put in - that should keep me out of mischief xD

Well, I am going to do lots of sleeping but I'm also going on an Artisan baking day tomorrow and my entire family are coming for lunch on Sunday to eat the results. Apart from that lots of furniture and fun stuff shopping- the last piece of carpet has just gone down in the living room! I have a grown up house for the first time ever!

Ahhhh half term holidays at last. Nice rest for a week.

I've got a busy one planned. Got ballet classes. This Sunday a trip to an allegy and free from show. A few days on holiday in Devon. Plus apply for teacher training, I must be mad.

My lovely dog is having a knee operation on Monday and will be on six weeks complete rest. Anyone who has a spaniel will know what a nightmare this will be!!! Half term will be spent spoiling him and trying to not let him move too much!! Also updating SEF which is overdue (as are Ofsted)

Hope everyone has a great half term.post-14268-0-45481700-1414267310_thumb.jpg

Upsy Daisy why not visit the North Yorkshire Moors Railway when you are up here in Yorkshire. They do some fantastic Halloween events. We took our boys a few years ago and they had a fantastic time making real broomsticks, having their faces painted, watched plays etc. The steam train stopped at every platform where there was a different activity on each one. I hope your daughter will then forgive you.

Take a look at their website as I am sure they will have a number of events running.

I hope you all enjoy visiting this beautiful area.

Finley and Digby send their love and some cow pats to roll in (ably demonstrated by Finley yesterday!)

I have worked like a navvy this weekend laying paving, shifting gravel and "autumn cleaning" my disgustingly dusty house - things are starting to look spick and span - apart from me - I look like a wreck

and there's still work stuff to do

Yesterday - achieved quite a lot in garden - took down runner bean plants - cleared and dug over a border - cut grass......

Today's big plan was to plant wallflowers - hmmm - bit misty/drizzly.......might put this on hold :1b

Have been really busy so far. Saturday I did my 'Artisan baking day' which was great - made a plain campagne loaf, a twisted pesto, olive and feta 'couronne' and some sweet cinnamon and raisin rolls. Family came on Sunday for a birthday lunch to eat it all. I spent yesterday tidying/organising/reading and resting (was so shattered after this first half term). Today I have started in a flurry of domesticity: washing is drying on the line (beautiful autumn blue sky day here), I made leek and potato soup and a loaf of bread is rising... I have paid the new carpet bill and am now going to try and do a little school work (although I can feel the sleepies beginning to catch up with me again!)
