AnonyMouse_52032 Posted October 26, 2014 Posted October 26, 2014 Hi has anyone used Pie Corbetts talk for writing. Can anyone explain to me what it is or point me in the direction of some reading to get me started? Many thanks X
AnonyMouse_79 Posted October 26, 2014 Posted October 26, 2014 Have you tried googling? There used to be lots online. It is very worthwhile and successful.
Guest Posted October 26, 2014 Posted October 26, 2014 Yes, we use it as a school, so that each year group sets aside 2 weeks a term to focus on a story. We use a system developed in Luton called 'Sign 4 Story' to support the story structure and use of connectives. Our school population is almost entirely composed of children - and quite a high proportion of staff too - who have EAL, and it has helped our work on grammar as well as story language. www.sign4learning.co.uk http://www.meads.luton.sch.uk/index.php/our-work/year-1/165-sign-a-story
