AnonyMouse_53243
Hi fellow EYFS members! I have an interview. I am teaching for 30 mins to a mixed ability group of 10 children (numeracy- Reception). My first thought to the structure was to do the usual 'oral/mental...main teaching...group activities and a plenary to review & extend. ' However in my current setting, we have revamped our numeracy planning after a visit from an EY advisor. We no longer have the formal standard approach which works better in KS1/KS2. We are now a lot more fluid. How would you structure the lesson for an EYFS interview? As it's only a 30 minute snapshot, it would maybe be best to do the safer option and by that I mean the structured approach? Do you agree? Thanks. AnonyMouse_79
I would go with your other approach as you have been advised it is better for EYFS---assuming you think so and can justify why you have done this.
