Hi all,

I was just wondering if anyone could help me.

We were discussing what we expect the children to be able to do for some of the Development Matters statements at my school with Nursery and Reception teachers. The one about 'selects a particular named shape' (SSM 40-60 months) was discussed as I have children in Nursery who are recognising a fair few shapes already.

I was wondering which shapes you would expect children to know in order to have achieved this statement?
