Recommended Posts

I am doing a circle time session with nursery children- I have a lovely book about saying please and thankyou and we have a nice song we can sing - Does anybody have ideas of what else I could do in this circle time focused around 'saying please and thankyou' ?

Thanks x x x x

There's a wonderful little book of circle time which has loads of ideas in. I usually start with a game such as chinese whispers or pass the smile/handshake/action and then have a discussion (which may be linked to topic/issue that has arisen/childrens' interests) and then finish with a reflecting time.

Hi

There is an article in the visitor's articles called 'Going round in circles' that might help and if you do a search there have been topics in the forums discussing circle time

Hope this helps

Do your children EVER get the idea of Chinese whispers or have I been really unlucky with past classes? My nursery Nurse started a whisper which half way round the circle had become 'jump under a bus' sure she wouldn't have said that............would she :o
