AnonyMouse_51737 Posted February 9, 2015 Posted February 9, 2015 Hi you came up trumps last time I needed inspiration so giving it another shot! We have an indoor area which to two sides are backs of low rise cabinets at there's a radiator cover to another side, wooden floor. We have a little tykes cube, small plastic bikes, bats, balls which we alternate but it's getting a but boring now and can just be basically become an area to run in circles. We have a large climbing structure which we pop out every so often but it requires full staffing support which is difficult on most days, we also do things such as music player, we did bear hunt with dens other week. Anybody got any ideas for things I don't mind buying things either but obviously not extortionate prices and we struggle with storage. Pack a way setting and not our building
AnonyMouse_19782 Posted February 9, 2015 Posted February 9, 2015 soft mats to practice log rolls, roly polys, commando crawling + other types of crawling type movements, large beanbags to walk on giving a very strange terrain, stepping stones, something walk/balance on (we got things like this with out Sainsbury vouchers last year). basic tunnels joined together with gaffer tape, we have a couple so makes it really long and you can "bend" it round corners. We have a small basketball net which we can hang off of a cupboard door for the children to aim at, hula hoops, normal little hand sized bean bags to move about in different ways. Are you using a Sticky Kids CD? that's very good, just google Sticky Kids, or you can download to an MP3 player off of Amazon. Chiffon scarves to throw up and catch, - easier than a ball, much slower. Parachute games. 1
AnonyMouse_19782 Posted February 10, 2015 Posted February 10, 2015 Something else you might get some fun out of are balloons - tricky for safety I know but if risk assessed you could do it, this is quite a work out for some children, we count how many times we can bat them up in the air, to each other, adults also blow the balloons up and let them go which the children think is hilarious, you can "waft" them with rolls of newspaper to move them about, have a mini race with them. We tend to buy the thicker balloons for this as regular ones do burst very easily. 1
