Guest Kerinoo
Hi I am a reception teacher and busy writing an action plan. Does anyone know what is now the up to date term for, silent, observation, understand, listen (SOUL) ? It's just I need to explain to SLT that actually sometimes adults do not have interfere with child's play during CIL. Thanks for any answers just need to justify everything as you are all aware. Guest
no sorry - I just say I have to observe children to get a really accurate idea of what they fully understand before I can possibly intervene to extend play and address their next steps
AnonyMouse_3307
Can't say I've ever come across that one but in the old Nat. Strategy booklet Learning playing and interacting there is some good stuff. They talk about the Teachable moment and needing to observe in the moment to decide what to do next.
