Do any of you wonderful people happen to know, in order, the different modes of transport Father Christmas takes to get to Harvey Slumfenburger's house? Like the fool I am I've managed to leave my copy at school and am trying to organise resources for next week!

Not sure abour order but here goes:

jeep, motor bike, skis, rope, (one more I think)

 

going home, hot air balloon, train, horse, skates, sledge, bike umm can't remember sorry

By John Burningham - Think it is published by Walker books - you are never told what is in the present - I always have a box wrapped up and ask the children what would Harvey like in his present. We also use the box to play a game "What's in the box?" I start by giving clues when the children are good at this game I ask them to ask me questions about the object, they are not allowed to guess until four questions have been asked.
