AnonyMouse_2157
Thanks for the heads up at Waitrose. I contacted Dr Okter who used to do the pots and said they no longer do the pots as they were not popular (haven't met us lot then!) Cash and carry now the best place to get it in bulk or online. But will whizz down to Waitrose this weekend to stock up... that's if there is any left ;-)

AnonyMouse_47736
In case you ever run out, cream of tar-tar isn't totally necessary for playdough. If you don't have any it will still work but will be a bit more crumbly and might not last as long

AnonyMouse_47736
Ah - I always thought it was used to prevent the dough from becoming too sticky  I don't think so, I think it's the oil that makes it sticky. The cream of tartar helds it to bind together and is a preservative. If it's too sticky, just keep adding flour and mixing it in fully until it's how you want it
