Paper towel shortage?

Sudden paper towel shortage at work

We usually get them through the local school, they have none.

I tried to buy some through hubby's work, they don't have any.

I tried to buy them from any possible shop near enough to get to. None!

We can order for Tuesday but tomorrow will be fun!

Where have all the towels gone?!

I stood at the loo door today handing out the paper towels one at a time to the boys! Great I thought, must press home the message. Much later in the morning, the boys loo is just by the front door - found the boys using the very expensive hand pump soap we use to wash their hands with to clean the front step with! Honestly, you turn your back for a moment!

Made me chuckle to realise everyone has the same problem. Ours also chant, one towel only and the older children get really cross when they find a whole pile of dry towels in the bin. We actually have one four year old who has made it his responsibility to monitor hand washing time for floods and towel over usage!! He stands there with his arms folded and a superior look on his face!! Really hope he is not copying staff!!!

Ha Ha! Was thinking it was a vendetta against me - everytime the staff said those immortal words "we're running out of paper towels"........... I would go in the cupboard and quietly curse...........grrrrrrrrrrrr

I had a great stock of terry towelling face cloths -over 200, We used those as a link between home and school. They had a towel that they were familiar with, and then dropped it into the bin, as they would a paper towel. I brough them home and washed them each day. It was a bit of a faff, but I felt it was well worth it. I didn't need to wash every day, just when there was a full load, as there were so many of them.

If I owned our setting (or if it were charity run!!) this would be my preferred option too. :1b
