Ladybird do a good version, but I found the best way was to use my own words with the picture book anyway. Then I could tailor it to ages and understanding. I used to do it before Palm Sunday and give each child a palm cross to take home. These are easily bought from Eden's website and I'm sure many others too.

There is lovely example in sand on video on c beebies site , other than that I used my own words and this led to a really good discussion on death and more, important to explain that when someone dies they do not come back to life like Jesus did !

There is an absolutely beautiful book called 'Easter Bunny's Amazing Day' which is the most sympathetic way of teaching the story of Easter to very young children that I have ever read. I got it from church but you can buy it on Amazon. Might be too late this year but worth a thought for next year. Will change the children's idea of the Easter Bunny without completely removing the magic!

Perhaps you could write a book, Cait, and share it!
