lead practitioner induction

we have taken on a new lead -the first time for over 17 years and need an induction program for the successful candidate - can anyone help at all please? I have seen some for practitioners but none for lead- has anyone done one recently - whether as committee or staff that could help me?

Firstly, the lead practitioner role can be interpreted in many ways depending on your setting, but my list would be:

 

Staff

· Working out rotas weekly

· Staff appointments

· Supervision

· Recording annual & sick leave

Care & safety

· Ensuring safeguarding and welfare standards are met

· Completing risk assessments & ensuring control measures and followed

· Fire safety

· Planning and leading team meetings

Children

· Weekly planning

· Check children’s learning diaries

· Check quality of children’s reviews / development

· Oversee 2 year reviews

· Maintain monitoring database

· Read and quality check all Transition forms

· Safeguarding

· Oversee SEN support (Sue)

· Write SEF

Occupancy

· Show rounds

· Admissions

· Fees

Catering

· Agreeing menus

· Checking quality of meals – nutrition & cleanliness

· Overseeing ordering of ingredients
