AnonyMouse_19920 Posted April 19, 2015 Posted April 19, 2015 we are looking to change the way we evaluate our practice as I don't feel we include the parents and children enough in what we do - does anyone have a great way of evaluating that involves parents and children that is easy to do? Quote
AnonyMouse_19782 Posted April 19, 2015 Posted April 19, 2015 A few years ago Ofsted came of with 20 questions to ask of children, have you done that? Quote
AnonyMouse_55778 Posted April 19, 2015 Posted April 19, 2015 Ask the children to draw a picture of their favorite thing about nursery and ask parents to write a comment about nursery on a post-it note then make a display from all the pictures and comments. Give parents a feedback form when children move room or leave with a line of numbers under headings such as activities; communication; environment; food etc and ask them to rate in each area and add a comment then save them in a file (which you can leave on show for other parents to read). Hold a series of afternoon teas when a few parents can come to collect early and have tea with a member of staff and their children and chat about nursery. Ideas/suggestions/comments box/book 1 Quote
