AnonyMouse_19920 Posted April 21, 2015 Posted April 21, 2015 (edited) well, two days back and i can honestly say that it has been great. we have been outside for the vast majority of the day - the children enjoying the beautiful weather - those who have spent the day with us have been very happy and tired at home time with all the fresh air and fun out side. whats the weather like where you are? AnonyMouse_8282 Posted April 21, 2015 Posted April 21, 2015 Well we've been back a week and two days! However nice weather so all pretty chilled so far :1b :1b Actually last week it was 'too hot' to go out one day - and as it's so early in the year- our big shady tree was/is still leafless so no shade. xx Quote
AnonyMouse_5970 Posted April 22, 2015 Posted April 22, 2015 :Lovely but strange weather - scraping frost off the car in the mornings and putting suncream on the children in the afternoons! 1 Quote
AnonyMouse_7120 Posted April 22, 2015 Posted April 22, 2015 Lovely here to, but what happened to the few relaxed weeks that we really look forward to between needing coats, hats, scarves, gloves and sun hats, sun cream .....when they just go in and out without all that rigmarole ? 6 Quote
AnonyMouse_19762 Posted April 22, 2015 Posted April 22, 2015 Has been lovely here too - until today - still dry but a very cold wind and overcast....... Quote
AnonyMouse_13453 Posted April 22, 2015 Posted April 22, 2015 Still lovely here! Forecast is more negative for the weekend though Quote
AnonyMouse_11396 Posted April 22, 2015 Posted April 22, 2015 Bright but a biting cold wind today here . Quote
AnonyMouse_1027 Posted April 22, 2015 Posted April 22, 2015 very sunny but quite chilly too  Quote
AnonyMouse_16365 Posted April 22, 2015 Posted April 22, 2015 Sorry, can't tell you..... It looked sunny through the window but I was in the toilets for an eternity today. Not the usual nappy changes but changing due to water play outside! Quote
AnonyMouse_19762 Posted April 23, 2015 Posted April 23, 2015 Sunshine all the way for us today - whoop whoop! :1b 1 Quote
AnonyMouse_13453 Posted April 23, 2015 Posted April 23, 2015 Here too, but snow forecast for Monday! Quote

AnonyMouse_8885 Posted April 23, 2015 Posted April 23, 2015 Grey, dull and cold this morning. Beautiful sunny afternoon now and 16c. Sitting in the garden having a late lunch. Quote
AnonyMouse_73 Posted April 23, 2015 Posted April 23, 2015 I am finding we need rain already and the water but T's are almost empty. I don't like it when we have very warm dry springs as it isn't really good for the garden. But at least it is pleasant to get out and garden Quote
AnonyMouse_3735 Posted April 23, 2015 Posted April 23, 2015 We have also had hot and sunny for a while now and watering has become a necessity for the garden.. the water butts are all empty so the hose is now out.. a little rain forecast for us late tomorrow, but I wont hold my breath for it.. our location often means we either get loads before it hits the Mendips, or it drops all on the Mendips and we get little.. Last week we had the most glorious sunshine so decided to go the the seafront.. 5 mins drive away.. and we encountered a lot of fog and sea mist and it was very eerie.. we came home to sunny garden instead.. AnonyMouse_22106 Posted April 23, 2015 Posted April 23, 2015 Nice looking beach Inge - where is that? Quote
AnonyMouse_3735 Posted April 23, 2015 Posted April 23, 2015 Weston super Mare...the water recedes for miles , but the beach is very long and well kept , always clean and the prom has upgraded in recent years.. it gives a lovely walk at any time.. except in the high winds when it is like being in a sandblaster.. 1 Quote
AnonyMouse_22106 Posted April 23, 2015 Posted April 23, 2015 On my places to go list is Weston - ever since I got hooked on 'The Cafe' 1 Quote
AnonyMouse_3735 Posted April 23, 2015 Posted April 23, 2015 don't be disappointed.. but the Cafe does not exist.. ( it was a structure they put up just for filming and removed ) but the seafront is lovely..the RNLI have a temporary station now where the Cafe was.. Quote
AnonyMouse_26037 Posted April 23, 2015 Posted April 23, 2015 Cold in the mornings, beautifully sunny after that but not too hot! I like! Have to say though, weather aside my day was made 'sunny' by one little boy answering the register with 'Good morning Miss Lovely!' and another telling me I looked pretty today! Quote
AnonyMouse_22106 Posted April 23, 2015 Posted April 23, 2015 Oh no ... shattered dreams thought they just 'took over' an existing place - not heard if they will be doing it anymore either .. 1 Quote
AnonyMouse_30128 Posted April 23, 2015 Posted April 23, 2015 (edited) cold this morning but hot this pm Edited April 23, 2015 by finleysmaid Quote
AnonyMouse_3735 Posted April 23, 2015 Posted April 23, 2015 No more planned ..we hear when they are as they ask for extras and the college helps with the make up etc.. Quote
AnonyMouse_26037 Posted April 23, 2015 Posted April 23, 2015 (edited) I confess though to still having 2 blankets and my winter pyjamas at night! Edited April 23, 2015 by Froglet Quote

Guest Posted April 23, 2015 Posted April 23, 2015 Finleysmaid - sounds like you need a quick trip to Weston for a bracing walk along the prom followed by a large glass of red - or maybe an enormous ice-cream with whippy cream and 100's and 1000's. Hope tomorrow is better. Quote
