AnonyMouse_5664 Posted April 25, 2015 Posted April 25, 2015 I am leaving my school after eleven years as Nursery teacher and EYFS leader. I would like to leave a little bit of me behind, so to speak! Any good ideas??? Not too keen on a plant or tree as I don't trust anyone to remember to water it!
AnonyMouse_3735 Posted April 25, 2015 Posted April 25, 2015 It can really be difficult.. I left a PVI in a church hall after 10 years.. Others had left books, puzzles, games etc.. I left a child,s size wooden picnic bench in the outdoor area .. and a child sized bench seat.. They are still in use 8 years later.. but I did leave them with a garden area as I was the one who managed to get the land from the school and church and arranged for it to be sorted etc.. so a big part of me is in that garden.. 4
AnonyMouse_19920 Posted April 25, 2015 Posted April 25, 2015 depends how much you wish to pay out i guess - a staff member left last year she left some audio story books and some puppets to go with billy goats gruff - children love them 2
AnonyMouse_55778 Posted April 25, 2015 Posted April 25, 2015 When one of our Childcare Managers left, she bought a beautiful watercolour of children playing and had it framed. Its on the wall in reception and is much admired. 2
Guest Posted April 26, 2015 Posted April 26, 2015 When our nursery teacher left she bought us one of those rather expensive but fabulous (!!!) hose pipes that don't get tangled up and that reduce to a small enough size when not in use, to not be in the way! It was a great gift because over the years, with no outside tap and some silly shaped taps inside, we had many " moments" regarding getting water outside!! It was a thoughtful useful gift and at the time these hoses were too expensive for us to buy ourselves!
