AnonyMouse_39602
This must have been the longest I've waited for a reply so I'm assuming everyone uses their LA for it ?
AnonyMouse_22106
Yes our LEA do it as a 'webinar' training now - chargable too Not as good as face to face training in my opinion though
AnonyMouse_39602
Thanks I emailed our CPD team and the response was that the course was not mandatory but having a Enco is !
AnonyMouse_22106
Thanks I emailed our CPD team and the response was that the course was not mandatory but having a Enco is ! How ridiculous! I'm quite concerned about training now, I'm sure I'm not the only one with daily emails from companies promoting courses and they cost hundreds of £'s - luckily we don't have the money for that but how do you know what you are 'buying in to' is reputable & relevant?
AnonyMouse_14688
Thanks I emailed our CPD team and the response was that the course was not mandatory but having a Enco is ! We haven't got named ENCO!! Is this mandatory in your area or everywhere?
AnonyMouse_73
No not mandatory, it was taken out fo the last EYFS framework. However you still need to show how your practice is inclusive and anti discriminatory and for any settings they prefer to still have an equalities leader, or combine equalities with SENCo and have just one inclusion lead.
AnonyMouse_39602
Essex states it's Mandatory and you have to have named person.
AnonyMouse_8282
Essex states it's Mandatory and you have to have named person. If I had the strength and willpower left it me I would challenge it. I did it with that ridicules L2 + L3 H&3 fiasco a few years back

Thanks, we are inclusive and anti discriminatory, just do not have named person overseeing it, it just happens all the time!

AnonyMouse_22106
Are you members of the Preschool Learning Alliance - if so they do a on-line Equality & Diversity module or perhaps your LA still do training?
