Guest Posted May 20, 2015 Posted May 20, 2015 Hi all, I'm new to this forum and hope you can help, I'm not sure if this question is in the correct place! We need to run a DBS check for a volunteer and I'm not sure how to start the ball rolling. In the past we have always had the person complete a paper copy of the EY2 and post it to Ofsted, however, I understand that you can no longer do this and must apply on-line, however, we don't appear to have received any information on this and I can't find any information on-line. Is there a link I can go onto to request a check? We use TMGCRB for our staff checks, but they don't do volunteers. Thanks in advance
AnonyMouse_6721 Posted May 20, 2015 Posted May 20, 2015 Hi We use capita and have recently carried out a staff volunteer check with them. You do need to register first with them but quite simple to do. But if you talking about a committee volunteer this is different and still with ofsted but now online.
AnonyMouse_30128 Posted May 21, 2015 Posted May 21, 2015 tmg do volunteer checks they cost £30 each for the admin fee
AnonyMouse_39602 Posted May 21, 2015 Posted May 21, 2015 Capita , set up online and cost £8.50 for volunteers 1
AnonyMouse_5970 Posted May 21, 2015 Posted May 21, 2015 We use TMG too and yes, they do volunteers. We don't pay anything for volunteer checks. Google 'online disclosures' and you will find them.
AnonyMouse_19762 Posted May 21, 2015 Posted May 21, 2015 Capita , set up online and cost £8.50 for volunteers That's good to know - think I might get one of daughters in law 'done' - she is great for helping out on a very short notice basis :1b 1
AnonyMouse_30128 Posted May 21, 2015 Posted May 21, 2015 this is the quote from tmg received yesterday!!!! The fees currently are £74.00 for a member staff including the government fee of £44.00 and admin charge of £30.00. Volunteer applications cost only the admin charge of £30.00 as they are free from the government charge.
AnonyMouse_5970 Posted May 21, 2015 Posted May 21, 2015 TMG must've put their prices up recently as I paid £62.00 for staff and nothing for volunteer only last month...

AnonyMouse_12960 Posted May 21, 2015 Posted May 21, 2015 oh well I,ve just sent off a volunteer one to TMG in the last week. I didn't enclose any money as assumed it was free...perhaps they'll contact me for some money at some point then....
