Guest
Hi everyone, I am about to start the yearly task of reports. This is my first time in Nursery for many years and have to do reports for both N2 (going up to reception) and N1 children, does anyone have a bank of comments etc they could share to ease the load, I have some for reception and I suppose I could adapt these but just asking. Thanks Denise
AnonyMouse_6721
I'm just doing mine for the first time on tapestry. I've only got 4 to do myself but have to coordinate the other 25. Even though staff use tapestry everyday I had forgotten that they stick to the app, so typing the reports is very stressful. For me and them. They are either struggling with the it or actually writing the report. As I'm not sure the teachers read them ( even though they say they do) I think it mostly for the parents. Once you get started they will just flow. The first one with be the hardest so choose an easy child.
AnonyMouse_8282
I'm pretty sure the TES website has some 'prompting' lists/charts.
Guest
I have looked but they posts on tes all seem to be for reception, may just look at my reports from last year and adapt e.g. count to 10 rather than 20 etc. As for COEL this will be pretty much the same - willing to have a go, etc thanks , lucky you only having to do
Guest
i don't use a bank of statements, just use development band statements as a basis, then illustrate for example - x listens to stories with increasing attention and recall, e.g. when we read xx he was able to recall that ........ or x counts objects to 10, and beginning to count beyond 10, e.g. when threading buttons she was able to count that she had 13 buttons on her string and add other bits too. they are very time-consuming. had to do 28! but i feel it's nice to be personal to each child, as i have received lots as a parent which told me nothing and were obviously cut and pasted. sometimes had the wrong name!! or sex!! ha ha! we don't do a report for the children going into reception in sep 16. head says no need or i'd have 8 more..... if you want i can attach DM band statements
