AnonyMouse_5892
If the child writes like this consistently and independently, then ELG. If he needs lots of adult support to write something like this then I think emerging.
Guest
as millhill - I can make sense of most of this, so 'is writing sentences that can be read by others' . Words are written using sounds and he can spell 'the'. He knows about full stops. so if this is independent and typical of his work I'd go for an elg - EYFSP expected. AnonyMouse_3307
Its very on the cusp. However as I say a lot, the child is at the expected level not the piece of work. How consistent is this as an outcome - what else has he done which makes you think he is working at the level of the ELG? I would say this was more an emerging close to epected set of skills when you look at the application demonstrated in the exemplification - but if i could see writing in different contexts happy to be swayed!
