AnonyMouse_6721
Yes, I did one for ours, but she does work in the garden when the children are out there. And of course they always want to help.

AnonyMouse_11396
Yes I would complete a DBS too.
AnonyMouse_22029
I took on gardener recently. Gave him details to complete his DBS. He answered no to question bout being involved in activities with children and was charged £11. Great I thought, only to get call from capita to say he needed enhanced DBS! Oh well. AnonyMouse_19782
Ours is employed by the hall owners, but they come before the children arrive, very occasionally still strimming an area which the children don't have access to - we can still here them, but haven't asked hall owners if they are DBS checked - seriously doubt it!!! AnonyMouse_23964
If you decide not to go down the DBS route, maybe you could carry out a risk assessment so that you have covered your reasons and actions if asked by Ofsted??
