Guest
Has anyone read the Billy Bonkers books to their reception class or do you think they are more suited to Key Stage 1? I have never read these book so am not familiar with them. I am looking for suitable stories that would be good to read 1 chapter per day. Is anyone old enough to remember Enid Blyton's 'Mr Twiddle'?!
Guest
Ah ... just found - it's suitable for 7-9 yrs apparently!
AnonyMouse_79
I think at the beginning of Reception, your children will still like a story a day with pictures. You could read the Annie Rose stories etc that are a bit longer, maybe?

Guest
I don't remember Mr Twiddle, but my grandson (now 5) enjoyed The Faraway Tree very much last Summer holidays - we're on our second go through now!
