AnonyMouse_11396
Well yesterday was our last day of term. We have enjoyed a wonderful week of fun including our end of term concert, and a party style session each day. In all the rubbish that we are dealt in Early Years pales into insignificance when you hear the beautiful comments from the parent/ carers and grandparents of the children in our care. This is truly why I love my job. Those that are now on a break I do hope you get to relax and for those working through the summer I hope it is enjoyable for you all. AnonyMouse_30128
Leavers party yesterday (cleaning Monday <_< ) It's been such a tricky year with the death of two parents but I feel that the whole group may have gelled in the face of adversity....I've never had SO many heartfelt thank you's and I can't read most of the letters for crying! One grandma sent us a long email .....we have been through a lot with her over the last few years as she has special guardianship of her two young grandchildren....many tears have been shed and cups of tea shared at those crisis points. Perhaps the government ought to visit us on days like these and ask the parents what they think! I had a long conversation about funding with 3 parents at the party ....they had NO idea of the amounts of money we get per child per day and the costs involved in running the business....it was a real eye opener and I wonder whether I ought to emphasise this a little more next year so that parents are more able to understand
