AnonyMouse_46692
Good afternoon all, whilst I have been a long term member on here - I know I don't post much (sorry) I am moving over the weekend and have bitten the bullet at applying for some jobs. Well surprisingly after a couple of "your not the right fit..." I have also now got 3 job interviews lined up! First one tomorrow.... I applied for a nursery assistant job (description same as nursery nurse) but it has come back saying I've been selected for the Nursery Officer job! (The Nursery Officer will be responsible for the day-to-day running and management of the nursery, ensuring the nursery team provide excellent care and education to the children within the nursery.) ekkkk.. I applied for the nursery assistant as I don't have any experience in looking after a team! I've been a childminder for 11 1/2 years! I've been researching interview questions to death, and wondered if you lovely lot had any hints and tips for me please??
AnonyMouse_19920
did you have a job description or could you look online at what might be expected? i work in a pre-school but we always ask about safe guarding -how you do this and would expect your team to do this - what they need to look out for and what they would do if they suspected abuse? whistle blowing /managing allegations equality and diversity - what is it how would you promote this in the setting? planning etc., i would also have a look at their website / prospectus to find out about them -this is always nice when speaking to someone at an interview who has bothered to find out a bit about the setting. look online -google nursery assistant / officer interview questions - that will give you an idea about questions they might ask - see you have already done that lol!! GOOD LUCK :0) Edited July 21, 2015 by blondie
