Guest Posted December 29, 2005 Posted December 29, 2005 CHECK OUT YOUR LAST YEARS RESOLUTIONS HERE Resolutions 2005 Did you keep to yours? I think I did most of the year. My resolution for this year is to be more Pro-Active ( in a positive manner )and not keep leaving things hoping they will sort themselves out. I am going to "Make things happen" (Don't not what they are yet but watch this space, I will let you know ) What is your resolution for 2006? Peggy Quote
Guest Posted December 29, 2005 Posted December 29, 2005 o0o good one! Here is what I wrote: ''I've decided that my resolution is a very positive one. It is to enjoy 2005 as it is my last full year as Miss Beech! I must enjoy planning my wedding and not turn into a Bridezilla and I must find myself a job I am happy with!!'' Well I've definately found a job I'm happy in, love it love it! I've not turned into a bridezilla yet (well no-one has told me I have!) As for enjoying it, its had its highs and lows. As for this year: Make the most of my wedding day- try and take as much in as possible. Have a fabulous Honeymoon and take lots of photos (I always take my camera and then forget to take pictures) Also I plan to keep on top of my paperwork at work! Quote
Guest Posted December 29, 2005 Posted December 29, 2005 When is your wedding day Nichola? As for photo's, I wish I could stop taking them - my hard drive is full and I never seem to get time to download them all onto CD. Peggy Quote
AnonyMouse_3307 Posted December 29, 2005 Posted December 29, 2005 last years - I aim to have a yearly objective, that way I've got a whole year to achive it. Usually it includes make at least 1 new friend! I haven't thought about it yet for this year!! Probably do the work on my house that needs doing. I decided that I would read mostly books from the library this year and I have to say that mostly I did. I had to buy the book group books cos the library wouldn't let me keep them for that long or scribble on them but I've read lots of new authors. Also I did get the work on the downstairs rooms done, so well done me. Not sure I made new friendsm but made new aquaintances so got some way with that! Cx Quote
AnonyMouse_3139 Posted December 29, 2005 Posted December 29, 2005 Peggy, you're a bad girl!! Fancy providing a link to that. I failed in last years resolution and I am quite certain if I try it again I'll fail in the same way, pessimissm was always a strong point! This year I aim to try to remember what I make a resolution about so at least I'll know when I fail instead of having to wait for this time next year. Good luck to everyone who makes a decision on something. Hope your year is great whether or not they work out. Quote

AnonyMouse_3307 Posted December 30, 2005 Posted December 30, 2005 Ah, well, this year I am going to take Lindyhop lessons so I can actually do it properly (I do other dance stuff but Lindy is one I haven't mastered yet!) and I'm going to buy myself some grown up furniture and give away the student tat I've still got, 25 years on! My dining table was third hand when I got it and really has seen better days. So it is year of furniture. Oh and make at least one new friend, that's a standing resolution every year. I think of my resoulutions as year long projects!!! Cxx Quote

Lots of new (cyber) friends each year on the forum, so that's that one covered already. Peggy Quote
AnonyMouse_3307 Posted January 1, 2006 Posted January 1, 2006 it's a jive/swing type dance usually danced to swing music, and quite fast! (therefore also good for you too!) Quote
AnonyMouse_64 Posted January 2, 2006 Posted January 2, 2006 Had my usual sucess with my resolutions last year but I did manage to keep my work/home life in balance. Didn't think of something happy everyday but most days too. As for this year - I'm going to get myself organised as I waste so much time to chaos and confusion. Also going to make more time for socialising. If you are having trouble deciding then try out Ten Great New Years Resolutions Quote
