Guest Posted August 25, 2015 Posted August 25, 2015 hi all, im fairly confident with engaging in SST with preschoolers but when it comes to the younger children, such as under twos whose attention span is short and language is still developing, how can we do SST with them?? any examples, ideas, videos? im going to have a search on youtube in the meantime. many thanks
Guest Posted August 25, 2015 Posted August 25, 2015 I'm thinking that good practice with babies is working towards this all the time as they are constantly exploring and investigating. for example: When we give them gloop to explore and then add a bit of paint to it to extend their interest, I think of this as SST. I don't think it always has to be verbal.
AnonyMouse_30128 Posted August 25, 2015 Posted August 25, 2015 I suppose intensive interaction could be classed as SST with babies too
