I haven't a clue how to work out % GLD for the first 12 ELGs do I add up all the scores 1 2 and 3 then divide by number of children or just all the 2s and 3s. Never done this before Thanx
Guest
Hi Blackcat, We have always just done the number of children who reached GLD i.e. expected in all ELGs for Prime areas and Lit and Num, divided by number of children in the cohort. So for example if 25 children reached GLD out of a class of 30, the % GLD would be 83% If you are using the scores 1,2 &3 you are finding the average point score, which is also looked at for data purposes, but we have always looked first and foremost at % that achieved GLD. Hope this helps.
AnonyMouse_13306
Thank you I am working with 4 children which doesn't give a good % as 1 child has struggled to achieve GLD in Numeracy.
