dwarfism

Recommended Posts

Hi,

could anyone help with this please. We have a child that has been in our setting for approx. 2 years. She has difficulties accessing our toilets as we are based in a community centre. Does anyone know of any kind of steps we could use for her to be independent. Dad wants her to be independent and this is one thing we are struggling with, all other issues we have come across we have addressed and succeeded. It is very important for the child as she wants to be independent too.

We have an OT that helps but unfortunately everything she has suggested can't be done within the community centre, we do have a disabled toilet however we do not want her to be feel any different from the other children and her parents do not want us to use this either.

Ant suggestions would be appreciated, Many thanks
