AnonyMouse_57055 Posted September 27, 2015 Posted September 27, 2015 Hi all I wondered if anyone had any advice as to how best to take over a school nursery? Have an interview for eyfs lead and nursery teacher which starts after Xmas - just wondering if anyone has done this and has any tips or techniques? The setting I would potentially be taking on needs s few tweaks and changes to get it how I would run it but don't want to overwhelm or confuse the children! Want to be able to take some ideas to interview to share with head as to what I would do? Thanks!
AnonyMouse_13453 Posted September 27, 2015 Posted September 27, 2015 Welcome to the forum and congratulations on your first post. It's a tricky one, taking over mid-year, but I think I would take the time in the spring term to just tread water a bit, get to know the staff and children and get confidence in yourself and what you want to change. Their systems may be quite good, you may not need to tweak much, but I'd leave it till you've tried things and got to know the staff etc. Then use the summer term for appraisals and chats one to one with staff to hear their ideas on changes and bounce some of your own about.
