AnonyMouse_4562 Posted November 13, 2015 Posted November 13, 2015 We have had some outdoor furniture made by the local college. Unfortunately they have made the sandpit too small - they said they would do it on site when I described how big we wanted it. It's a beautifully made thing! It's square with high sides and a floor. It will stand up on its end and would be safe if fixed to the fence. What do you think we should do with it? Ideas we've thought of: 1. Use for a different material e.g. different sizes of gravel and pebbles 2. Use as a cupboard for Hanging role-play costumes and equipment with tarpaulin at the front to keep dry at night. 3. Put shelves in and use for investigation/exploration equipment. Any other ideas? We Have decided to order sleepers for our sandpit. Thanks, Green Hippo xxx 1
AnonyMouse_19802 Posted November 13, 2015 Posted November 13, 2015 Lucky you!! I like your ideas.....can't think of any better at the moment............apart from perhaps hiding behind the tarpaulin when Ofsted come! 1
AnonyMouse_4562 Posted November 13, 2015 Author Posted November 13, 2015 Definitely lucky but also feel dreadful for them that it's not quite what we wanted. Mud kitchen is too high as well so I will have to ask them to shorten the legs.
AnonyMouse_5970 Posted November 14, 2015 Posted November 14, 2015 How about using it as a den? On it's end or side with a cover over to hide behind?
AnonyMouse_23964 Posted November 14, 2015 Posted November 14, 2015 How big is it - could you turn it into a cosy corner, book area, 'reflection' place? BTW - we are going to opt for new sleepers for our new sand pit - thats the plan now neeed to find the money!
