AnonyMouse_2821 Posted November 28, 2015 Posted November 28, 2015 Oh the endless possibilities... we are planning either a workshop or winter wonderland
AnonyMouse_11396 Posted November 29, 2015 Posted November 29, 2015 Santas grotto and workshop for us next week.
AnonyMouse_19802 Posted November 29, 2015 Posted November 29, 2015 We have continuing Nativity role play - to give everyone a chance to be "Mary" - ha ha, and then slip into Santas workshop for last 2 weeks!!
AnonyMouse_2821 Posted November 29, 2015 Author Posted November 29, 2015 When you have your santa's workshop what do you include. We thought a nice fireplace that the children can create, cosy chair, writing area. We thought about an area for wrapping?
AnonyMouse_51737 Posted November 29, 2015 Posted November 29, 2015 Our biggest hit is copious amounts of cello tape, ridiculous amount of wrapping paper, scissors and random toys from around the room. Children wrap the toys give to friends/teachers they unwrap and it starts again. The guessing games and using describing words are the best part, before you even get onto your second gift they tell you what's inside lol. 4
AnonyMouse_5970 Posted November 29, 2015 Posted November 29, 2015 Yes we do this too. Lots and lots and lots of wrapping! We tend to do our Christmas role play after Christmas but in quite a low key way such as stockings, presents to wrap (again!) some dressing up outfits and Christmas books. We find it means more to the children this way, as even children who have already turned four, have little or no memory of last Christmas. 3

AnonyMouse_16163 Posted November 29, 2015 Posted November 29, 2015 We have postoffice/cards, money tills etc and wrapping presents, weighing them on some scales. (Problem solving/Numbers) The children make Christmas cards for their parents and then we walk to the post box down the road to post them. (Creative, UtW, Phys, PSE sharing, CLL writing cards ) Large boxes for Santa sleigh or grotto with chair and lights. 1
