AnonyMouse_2821 Posted December 4, 2015 Posted December 4, 2015 I have had a search in the forums and read about continuous planning and child led planning. I really like the sound of it but really don't know how to get started. How to move away from the plans in Janurary and how or what to record Can anyone share there experiences please ? 1
AnonyMouse_7120 Posted December 4, 2015 Posted December 4, 2015 (edited) HI Skippy, have you seen this recent thread ? http://eyfs.info/forums/topic/44966-in-the-moment-planning/ We have moved more towards this style of planning, scaled down greatly on adult initiated (mainly large group activities) to what we were trying to cram in each week to meet next steps, so far so good, I did an in-house staff training evening, gave them all a copy of the NYIA, set a couple of tasks to record their own 'teaching' over 1 week, then instead of doing 1:1 peer obs this half term I asked them to note their colleagues 'in the moment' teaching, we then had another meeting 4 weeks later to evaluate how it was going, staff were really positive about the planning and each others 'teaching',I think it made them all realise how much they do without having to have it written down in the first place :-) There is also a fab article about 'sparks' on the home page http://eyfs.info/articles/_/eyfs/capturing-childrens-sparks-r184 Edited December 4, 2015 by Mouseketeer

AnonyMouse_7120 Posted January 11, 2016 Posted January 11, 2016 (edited) Hi Salus .....yep, I see it as when the children are showing an interest, grab that moment (spark) to teach them something new :-) Edited January 11, 2016 by Mouseketeer 1
