Some areas must be getting a very high rate to make those averages correct.

We get £4.67 for 2 year olds and £3.78 for 3 & 4s.

This is going up by 19p an hour from April - an increase of 5%

I know that we're lucky to get an increase and that many areas haven't, but when our wage bill has gone up by over 20% because of the living wage and pensions... Well, you probably all know what I feel

I agree not sure where they got these figures from (and are they before top slicing from lea or after???) We are slightly above this rate for our 2's (although they still cost us more than we get!) but under for the 3/4 year olds and to be honest we are in one of the most expensive areas in the country so if anyone was getting this rate it should be round here!
