AnonyMouse_5664
Am a bit confused about what is happening in the near future. Is it the case that the profile is staying as it is, with the 3 Es etc but we won't be reporting the results????? Or is something else happening? AnonyMouse_73
Hi there. The EYFSP will become optional after this year and no results will need to be submitted. The preference will be for reception classes to complete the baseline from one of the approved providers from sept this year. At least that is the current thinking. Does that mean that it will be optional whether people will use the emerging, expected, exceeding judgements against the ELG? If so, will all schools do their own thing for an end of year assessment? AnonyMouse_73
Yes, you can still choose to record end of year assessments using the 3x Es, but equally schools can choose something else. This sits with the govt plans for academies I think. Who knows what will happen with the baseline in the future?

AnonyMouse_3307
The ELGs currently remain as the expected level of attainmnet at the end of the phase. The reporting of judgements to the LA/DFE is the main change here. Development matters remains as ever non statutory and is not part of the Statutory assessment arrangements as they exist. AnonyMouse_33773
Is it correct that we don't have to enter Profile data despite the baseline assessments being scrapped?
AnonyMouse_3307
Is it correct that we don't have to enter Profile data despite the baseline assessments being scrapped? You do this year. Next year no unless the DfE change their mind as a data vacuum in EYFS may not be their preferred thing! However you may still be required to report to parents so I wouldn't do anything different unless the statutory framework changes! Cx
AnonyMouse_73
I agree! We are encouraging our schools to continue with the profile next year and their current ongoing assessments until we hear otherwise.
