A hidden consultation - important to look at for providers

Recommended Posts

Thanks Catma but this is another "call for evidence" dressed up as a consultation and they didn't like the findings of the last one so managed to "not have the evidence" for freedom of information requests. How they can commission these pseudo consultations and leave the evidence with others e.g., Deloitte is somewhat worrysome!

Personally I am getting consultation weary - at the end of the day all I want is to be paid a fair rate per hour - enough to run my early years provision as I would like in order to achieve the quality that I would like to deliver, to pay my staff what they are worth (and that's a darn sight more than the living wage!), to contribute to those things that I legally must e.g., pension schemes and to earn enough for myself to justify my getting my degree etc. as per previous requirements - the amount of money that they must have shelled out for all these wretched consultations and consultants fees would have been more than enough to give us all a decent hourly rate by now - and isn't it funny how all these things are published over weekends and "holiday breaks".

Edited to say I'm not trying to shoot the messenger here which on reading it back is how it sounds - just getting really, really FED UP!!!!!

Also fed up with filling in consultations and petitions ....maybe we should all just add 'stop wasting money on consultations and put it into childcare' :-(

Now off to print registers, fees sheets and invoices, check post, file last terms planning sheets (for what ?) and do a bit of cleaning before I go BACK to work next week @#totallyfedupwithitall
