AnonyMouse_1469 Posted July 15, 2016 Posted July 15, 2016 (edited) Be fair. She IS a mother, so she knows all there is to know about everything that ever was, is or will be.I'm afraid she is, in my humble, a very stupid woman. And stupid is not a word i use at all. And of course, we all know that NO woman, ever has been a paedophile, don't we? Edited July 15, 2016 by narnia 2
FSFRebecca Posted July 15, 2016 Posted July 15, 2016 It's unbelievable - what a thoroughly warped view of the world - It must be very sad to be her: thinking and distrusting so many people 2
AnonyMouse_3735 Posted July 15, 2016 Posted July 15, 2016 She has stirred the pot with this one.. thought we were much more enlightened these days PLA - https://www.pre-school.org.uk/alliance-expresses-shock-andrea-leadsoms-comments-men-childcare Pacey - https://www.pacey.org.uk/news-and-views/news/leadsom-sparks-outrage-with-male-nanny-comments/#.V4itN94qKOo.twitter 2

AnonyMouse_55778 Posted July 15, 2016 Posted July 15, 2016 I cannot believe anyone in her position would make a comment like that. I would dearly love to see more men working in childcare. I have taken part in a study relating to men in childcare along with a member of our management committee who heads up the childcare training department at a local FE college. One of the reasons we discovered many men won't do it is because the low pay is not adequate once their partner gives up work to have children. Another main reason is because they fear they will be seen as pedophiles. Very sad indeed. I have two absolutely fantastic male workers and would love to have more. I employed a male nanny for my own three children as I had three under four years at the same time. I worked full time and happily walked out of my house every day and left him in my home alone with them. He worked for me for 12 years until the youngest went to senior school. I am a single parent and could not have wished for a better person to help me bring he children up. He was amazing and has been a major influence on all of their lives. He still keeps in touch, visits regularly and has even travels to the city where my son is at uni to visit him. As managers, it is our role to ensure that effective measures are in place to appoint suitable persons in relation to safeguarding and to ensure procedures are in place to prevent any abuse, by male OR female. I'm so glad she didn't stay in the leadership race. 4
AnonyMouse_3735 Posted July 15, 2016 Posted July 15, 2016 Maz Posted this on Facebook... http://www.standard.co.uk/news/politics/theresa-may-under-pressure-to-sack-andrea-leadsom-over-stupid-paedophile-comments-a3297091.html A spokeswoman for Mrs Leadsom said the Minister had employed a male nanny and "was not saying that men are unsuitable as nannies." Think this is someone who really does need to stop putting her foot in her mouth..she really does not think about what she is saying before she speaks.
