Hi all

Well the end of an era. Moved the pre-school down into school (after being in the village hall for years), done a very quick handover to the new manager (an afternoon, giving her the laptop to view everything over the holidays! But feeling happy as she is already a manager and knows what she needs to do).....feeling excited about Sept.... all day pre-school...doubling staff numbers..more ideas to share...not the responsibility...... just need to let go and stop thinking, has that last minute parent decided she wants her child to start..will the registers be updated..what about the name cards, headcounts etc etc....nothing I can do now apart from learn that it is no longer for me to decide! (finding it hard).

New routines, new staff, new children, new premises........ feeling a bit sad also....lots of lovley comments from parents at the end of term.

Just need to keep thinking of the reasons why I did this..I need to find my enjoyment of working with children again!

Have a good summer everyone...will let you know how things go!

My, my, you have all been very very busy on this thread. I've had lots to catch up on as had grandchildren to stay for a couple of days. In fact I have had to write myself a TDL just on the contents - tape, pencils, think of a theme, visit hobby craft and sainsbury - so much to think about!!!

'Start Bay' is the make of a notebook I now desire. :1b (to be fair is more of a 'system' than notebook)

When in Sainsbury's a few weeks ago I bought yet another notebook.

Last year they had a sale on their stationary items and I had to be restrained from buying ALL the notebooks.
