AnonyMouse_53762 Posted July 17, 2016 Posted July 17, 2016 As Sam Gyimah moves to the Ministry of Justice and with Justine Greening as Education Secretary, what now for the childcare sector? http://www.conservativehome.com/parliament/2016/07/all-the-latest-junior-ministerial-appointments.html So many questions.., What happens about the funding review that was due to be published next month? How does this affect 30 hours funding? Etc... I'm sure there's never a good time for change, but with all what's going on in our sector, the timing could the timing be any worse? Having worked at the DfE, I'm worried that if past experience is anything to go by, we could be in for a delay in any expected announcements whilst the new ministers and Secretary of State reviews things and get to know their new department.
AnonyMouse_19762 Posted July 17, 2016 Posted July 17, 2016 Your guess is as good as mine MagicStar :1b Interesting times we live in - no idea what might happen from one day to the next
AnonyMouse_3139 Posted July 17, 2016 Posted July 17, 2016 I will continue to smile, nod in all the right places and carry on doing things to suit our families, regardless. 5
AnonyMouse_53762 Posted July 17, 2016 Author Posted July 17, 2016 Sounds like a good plan Rea! Sunnyday, I think you are right :-) 2
AnonyMouse_73 Posted July 17, 2016 Posted July 17, 2016 Oh I missed out on Sam Gyimah going. Who has replied him then?
AnonyMouse_53762 Posted July 17, 2016 Author Posted July 17, 2016 Can't find any mention of his replacement anywhere.
AnonyMouse_13453 Posted July 17, 2016 Posted July 17, 2016 Having watched 'Yes, Minister' and 'Yes, Prime Minister', I'm almost sure that it's the private secretary and the department that keep everything going anyway. I don't think any changes will happen quickly
