Guest
If you log into Tapestry and see an observation with a blank picture attached such as the one shown below, it is not something that's gone wrong - it means a photo has been attached to a group observation that your child is only one of a few tagged in. The photo would have been purposely hidden by your child's Setting for safeguarding purposes. Here is an example of what you may see on the main obs tab: If you click on this type of observation, you will be able to see the notes as per usual, but the picture will not be visible, instead you'll see this message 'your school/nursery has disabled viewing media when observations contain multiple children' : If you have two or more children on the same Tapestry account you may find that photos and videos are not hidden when only they are included in a group observation. This is an intentional feature. You may also notice that you cannot comment on it. This is something else a Setting (school/nursery) can put in place for multiple child observations. They do not necessarily have to hide photos and block parents ability to comment, so you may only experience one of these things. If however, you are fairly certain that the observation relates only to your child e.g. if the notes only mention them, please double check with your child's Setting (school/nursery), then ask them to email us. If you have any problems with your Tapestry account, please contact your child's school or early years setting. Back to contents page
