Guest Posted August 26, 2016 Posted August 26, 2016 Hi all, It has been a long time since i used this forum forgot how good it is. I am currently trying to update report forms i.e. accident, incident. I was wondering does anyone have a template for changing clothes form due to spillage, toileting etc.. as until the old manager had staff using accident form and i think it would be better to have a different one as this is not what i deem to be a accident. Please help
AnonyMouse_3735 Posted August 26, 2016 Posted August 26, 2016 Being bit devils advocate here, but why do you need a form to record a change of clothes.. what purpose does it serve? Why is it needed? Cannot say I have ever used one.. except perhaps if we had a home book, we gave a verbal explanation on collection. If you really feel it important maybe a sheet of paper with a list of what details you really feel the need to record time, date, persons involved, etc as headings and keep it simple. I am all for reducing paperwork and I really would question the need ,(or is it a new requirement I have missed?) 2
Guest Posted August 26, 2016 Posted August 26, 2016 Hi, We have always recorded it within my work in two different settings as part of our Safeguarding children policy, to keep ourselves right. Maybe we don't need. Thanks anyway you have me thinking now.
AnonyMouse_5970 Posted August 26, 2016 Posted August 26, 2016 (edited) We don't record a change of clothes, we just explain to parents why it was necessary - e.g. toilet accident, water play, messy play, spilt drink etc. We follow our policies when changing children's clothes in the same way as nappy changing and toileting, so leaving doors open etc to comply with our safeguarding policy for example. I feel this is enough to keep ourselves and the children safe. Edited August 26, 2016 by Stargrower 2
Guest Posted August 26, 2016 Posted August 26, 2016 Thanks stargrower, we do the same as yourselves although have always recorded it, i think i will have a team meeting and see what everyone thinks and see where to go from there.
AnonyMouse_8282 Posted August 26, 2016 Posted August 26, 2016 We don't record either. At one time we had a book which we added it to- but that was simply to keep track of all the missing clothes! 1
AnonyMouse_19762 Posted August 26, 2016 Posted August 26, 2016 Nope - no recording for me either - far too many records, books already  ::1a 1
AnonyMouse_1469 Posted August 26, 2016 Posted August 26, 2016 Good lord no.....................I'd be writing out forms all day if I recorded every change of clothes, there are definitely days that it seems to be all I do 1
AnonyMouse_13453 Posted August 26, 2016 Posted August 26, 2016 I used to record change of clothes when they borrowed our spares. This was mainly for parents signature that they were aware they'd borrowed and it was ticked off when they were returned.
AnonyMouse_23964 Posted August 26, 2016 Posted August 26, 2016 No recording for us either just a reminder slip for parents to provide more spare clothes from home if we have had to use ours.
