AnonyMouse_13453
Hi Cheslou and welcome to the forum. Lots of folk have viewed, but there are no replies as yet! CP is just that, it's the basic stuff that you put out all the time; the sand and water, blocks, jigsaws and cars etc. I'd say just put out your normal structure of the room and look at enhancing it as the week goes on as you see what they are interested in. Maybe put some odd things about and see what reaction you get, so a dinosaur in the doll house, a bear in the train set, that sort of thing.
AnonyMouse_16365
Lots of 2year old newbies this term so we will start off with very basic provisions to avoid sensory overload. Simple jigsaws, coloured bricks, threading, dressing up etc. Trains are a good icebreaker too.
AnonyMouse_16163
Hi Cheslou As above, one or two new younger ones along with the young ones from last term, so back to basics with resources that are familiar to them. Home corner, dolls, pushchairs, playdough, cars/garage, mark-making area, paint, book corner, duplo bricks, jigsaws. Then hopefully if this weather lasts we will be outside. AnonyMouse_50010
Hi, I am a childminder so very small scale, however, if I had all new children I would look at the 'all about me' form and try to put out things that their parents have said they really like and as suggested above just the basic toys I would always have available. Playdough and water are great because they are often things children don't get to do at home and as an adult it is very easy for you to join in with their play without changing the direction of play, you can just be there doing your thing and chatting with the children.
