Hello all.

My first tme posting, im just looking for some advice on how you all use tapestry to do monthly plans. we have baselined and done countless observations on our children and now want to plan for the next month. weve looked at the reports but much of it deosnt seem to fit the children.

Any tips to make it easy for us.

Many thanks

Have you assessed your observations?

If you have assessed using refinements you should be able to see, from the summative snapshot, where children are below the age related expectations this will give you some pointers as where to look. If you are still not sure, on each child's page there will be a 'next obs' option which will allow you to see if there are aspects of the EYFS that you haven't observed yet which will enable to you consider your forward planning.

Hi Katie_Button

We print off our summative assessments from snapshots using the 'latest' at the end of each half term, then highlight each aspect that each child has shown progress, this lets us see if there are gaps in the aspects that showed little progress, we can then use to think about our provision, do we need to add enhancements or plan our group activities around those aspects over the following half term, we also highlight in another colour each child's planned next steps aspect, this quickly shows us which chn have the same NSs...if that makes sense :-/ but the more you use it you will find ways to make it work for you, and welcome to the forum :-)
