Why is it not possible to delete parents from our tapestry now the children have moved to KS1? At the moment we have the current 90 parents assigned in reception plus 90 from last year sitting in the background (with no child or obs now attached as these have been removed). This number will increase next year with the new cohort and so on. We deactivate our parents whilst we upload the new set of observations so are now reactivating 180 parents each time when only 90 of them have children in the foundation stage or anything to see. I find this very bizarre. Any ideas or if this is going to be sorted or ways around this? Thanks in advance

Hi

I note that you asked this question via a support ticket and we did answer you on the 13th Oct 2016. If you log into your forum account and go to your subscriptions area you will see a Tab that says 'Support' and all tickets raised using your registered email address will appear there.

But for ease the answer we gave was:

Unless a relative has never made a comment, observation or report etc. they cannot be deleted from Tapestry. However, they can be made inactive which is essentially the same thing, only they could be restored at a later date if needed. This will still free up space though, as they will appear to be deleted and moved to an inactive list. Please follow the steps in this tutorial which explains how to make relatives inactive.
