PRE-SCHOOL PLAYGROUP DEPUTY LEADER - BIRMINGHAM - TERM TIME ONLY

Stratford Road Playgroup in Hall Green, Birmingham is seeking to recruit a confident and motivated Deputy Pre-School Playgroup Leader to join our enthusiastic team!

Hours & Rate of pay:

Term Time Only

Monday 8.30am-1.00pm
Tuesday 8.30am-1.00pm
Wednesday 8.30am-1.00pm
Thursday 8.30am-1.30pm
Friday 8.30am-1.00pm

£8.00 per hour.

Key Responsibilities will include:

  • Setting up/pack-away daily.
  • To act as key worker for a small group of children.
  • To assist with observing, assessing and planning for the developmental needs of children.
  • To act as an encouraging and motivating leader  to the staff team and build strong relationships with parents, children and staff.
  • To have a good understanding of Safeguarding and Welfare procedures including taking part in training for a senior role in this.
  • Take responsibility for the setting in the Playgroup Managers absence.

Applicants must have:

  • NVQ level 3 in Childrens Care, Learning And Development (or equivalent.)
  • Previous experience of working with young children 2-5.
  • Good understanding of the EYFS.
  • Good and effective communication skills.

Successful applicants will be expected to take responsibility for the playgroup during the Managers Maternity leave (with continued support from support from Manager) which will begin in April 2017.
