AnonyMouse_59490 Posted January 27, 2017 Posted January 27, 2017 Hi all Cam someone please confirm whether I should change all my policies to keyperson not keyworker. I have scanned through EYFS and whether I cant see it, but does it have to say keyperson or can it say keyworker. many thanks Cheryl
AnonyMouse_73 Posted January 27, 2017 Posted January 27, 2017 Keyperson has been in the EYFS since 2008,in the statutory framework. I still work with people who say 'keyworker' but it should be Keyperson. Key person sums up the personal relationship and attachment you make with those key children. 2
AnonyMouse_5970 Posted January 27, 2017 Posted January 27, 2017 Yes, same. I do still hear keyworker now and again - mostly from Social Services.
AnonyMouse_64776 Posted February 1, 2017 Posted February 1, 2017 We have always used the term Key person. Key worker does sound a lot more impersonal, I think.
AnonyMouse_7120 Posted February 1, 2017 Posted February 1, 2017 KP's as we're all nuts to do it ;-p We changed from KW sometime ago but still gets referred to as KW's, key persons is harder to say and key people doesn't sound right either. 1
AnonyMouse_46159 Posted February 5, 2017 Posted February 5, 2017 Yes I changed ours a few years ago to key person.
