AnonyMouse_25678
Any setting/chidminder who share the care of a child also share the funding that child receives - I assume the calculation is the same for all areas but that is a massive assumption!! - Our shared funding is calculated using the following formula: (Total hours setting A) / (Total hours at setting A +B) x 15 = Paid hours for setting A (rounded up to nearest hour) Hope that helps
AnonyMouse_30128
Any setting/chidminder who share the care of a child also share the funding that child receives - Just a little addition to this is that not all childminders are registered for funding. (in fact none of the ones working with us are!...it's not worth it for them!)If sharing settings parents cannot go over their 15 hours (without paying) and we usually ask the parents to say who gets which hours up to the 16....this is then what goes on our lea funding form (but this is different in each area)
AnonyMouse_23964
Our parent claim forms have to be signed by both settings so hopefully we sort it out amongst ourselves. If not our LA splits the disputed amount 50/50. It's all a bit of a nightmare in terms that are not full weeks and the child does more than 3 hours on any days!
