AnonyMouse_4820 Posted February 18, 2006 Posted February 18, 2006 I was wondering if anybody has seen the white blank dice that enable you to use a dry wipe pen to write on and rub off. We had them in my previous school but can't remember where they came from. They were considerably larger than your standard dice. Finger's crossed that somebody will know where we can purchase some.
Guest Posted February 19, 2006 Posted February 19, 2006 Is this any good? http://www.beam.co.uk/productdescription.a...d=54&agerange=0
AnonyMouse_4544 Posted February 19, 2006 Posted February 19, 2006 Beam are really good for all numeracy resources another supplier http://www.crossboweducation.com/number_dice.htm
Guest Posted February 19, 2006 Posted February 19, 2006 i have just brought a very useful dice from http://www.craftpacks.co.uk/. it is foam with plastic pockets on the side into which you slip your own cards. we use it for colours, numbers, instructions .the uses are many. large enough for use on the floor . it was only £2.94.
AnonyMouse_4820 Posted February 19, 2006 Author Posted February 19, 2006 Thanks for replies so far - the first two replies feature dice which are too small and not necessarily the right surface to use dry wipe pen onto. The foam dice in the third reply looks great but still not the original one that I am hunting. I like the idea of the pockets though. If I can't find the original one then we will probably purchase that one. Many thanks
Guest Posted February 19, 2006 Posted February 19, 2006 We've got some really big ones (about 12cm square each face) _ I am pretty sure we got them from NEXUS - sorry don't know if they have a website!
Guest Posted February 19, 2006 Posted February 19, 2006 There was a link somewhere to templates for making 3D shapes, one being a cube, I made a variety with dots, numbers, etc and also kept one blank. I laminated them then joined/taped them together with some shreddied paper inside to stop them getting too squashed. The blank laminated one I use with a drywipe pen, but it does smudge. I've ordered some foam / pocket / dice with card, and continued to spend £57 on the site for other resources Thanks for the link shuttle ( I think) Peggy
Guest Posted February 19, 2006 Posted February 19, 2006 We got ours from Nexus too, the trouble is you have to go through a REP. Not sure if they have a website or not. Viki
AnonyMouse_4820 Posted February 20, 2006 Author Posted February 20, 2006 Can't seem to find any information about NEXUS on the web at all. Could some kind person ask their rep how I would contact a rep in the Bristol area? I am so desperate for these dry wipe dice. I am seriously on a mission!!!
