Guest Posted March 18, 2017 Posted March 18, 2017 Currently having problems keeping a committee in place and not enough parents to form a new committee can we use grandparents or interested individuals......
AnonyMouse_7120 Posted March 18, 2017 Posted March 18, 2017 It will depend on your constitution, if you are psla I think it states a % must be parents ( 60% possibly but would need to check) 1
AnonyMouse_22106 Posted March 18, 2017 Posted March 18, 2017 Has anyone ever been checked with the 60% rule? I was once by a PLA advisor (that's how many years ago it was!) We had nowhere near 60% so she 'had a moan' so I just said ok we'll have to close then, her reply was oh no you will just need to write to the county PLA office explaining your situation, so I did and nothing was ever said again!! 1
AnonyMouse_7120 Posted March 18, 2017 Posted March 18, 2017 Well from a thread the other 80% of us haven't really 'adopted' the constitution anyway lol

Guest Posted March 19, 2017 Posted March 19, 2017 Thanks all but I think that our roles are getting harder and not sure if its worth it anymore......
AnonyMouse_71883 Posted March 28, 2017 Posted March 28, 2017 You need to find your Constitution which will state the minimum number needed on the Committee. We foresee similar issues in the future because being on the committee is actually a big ask with alot of responsibility. The PLA have advised me that one option could be to request changing our constituton so only thee members are needed rather than five.
