FSFRebecca
We have been asked by a local nursery if we know anyone who has used bunk bed cots in their nursery. They used to be made by the 'Bunkcot company' but have been modernised and improved (so they say) by 'Fafunia ltd'. They want them for a designated sleep room which would be staffed at all times These are the cots: fafu cots if you have any feedback about using such cots please post! AnonyMouse_19733
I used to have Shanti bunk cots when I owned a nursery. I loved them, staff loved them and the children loved them too. The lower bunk allows mobile toddlers to seek out a cosy place to have a rest or sleep during the day; the top bunks saved staff having to bend too much to place babies in as they are much higher then ordinary cots or travel cots, they had height adjustable mattress levels too. And they are smaller than ordinary single cots so take up less room and cater for twice as many sleeping babies; win, win! AnonyMouse_5970
Yes, we have Shanti cots, as above and they are brilliant! We now have 8 of them in our sleep room. They are expensive so I had to buy one at a time to replace the travel cots we used to use. Ours are quite flexible so you can set them up the same as the photo, which is how we have most of them. Or you can have the bottom section without a guard, or with bars. We find them really good and, particularly after lunch, our sleep room is often full of snoozing babies and toddlers!
